At my age society expects you to be married, have kids, own a home and have a job that earns (a lot of) money. I should have settled down and work until I am ready to retire. That concept is so far from my life it’s not even funny. I am not on the track that I’m supposed to be on. Which is why I sometimes feel off track. And why I want to stop thinking and caring about ‘should’ and ‘supposed to’.
